IBCA - Independent Baptist Churches of America,                                                   IBBCA - Independent Baptist Bible College of America

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting our website !

The IBCA is referred to as The Independent Baptist Churches of America, and the IBBCA is referred to as the

Independent Baptist Bible College of America !  Please click on the above links to visit these portions of the website

to access more information about the Church, and about the College !

The IBCA serves to assist independent Baptists to become licensed or ordained ministers, and we assist independent

baptist ministers to establish independent Baptist churches.

The IBCA allegedly was founded in 1893 at Dassel, Minnesota by Swedish Free Baptist immigrants. In 1956,

there were 2 churches with 106 members. The church appears to have ceased to exist in the 1960s or 1970s.

I was ordained by the IBCA in 1986 when it was located in the State of Florida, and their corporation was presided

by a Rev. Robert G. Montanus, who is believed to have passed away and met the Lord. The Florida IBCA corpora-

tion has dissolved, and the IBCA has been re-incorporated in the State of Iowa in hopes to continue the work of

this fellowship of ÔøΩindependent baptists!ÔøΩ

1 Corinthians 14:33-35 ÔøΩwomen are to remain silent in the church meansÔøΩ  that women will not be ordained as

clergy, that they should not usurp pastoral authority –or- to challenge a pastorÔøΩs decision in matters of faith and

conduct within a local church.  Women can serve as Sunday school teachers, but the IBCA will not ordain women

as clergy.

Homosexuals will not knowingly be ordained into the Christian Ministry.

Sexual sins were rampant in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. (This is the origin of the word sodomy.) Despite

warnings, they refused to repent. God destroyed those cities and it was recorded as a warning to all future

generations. (Genesis 18:20-21, Genesis 19:4-5, 2 Peter 2:6) Some additional scriptures on homosexuality

 are found in:

    * Leviticus 18:22

    * Leviticus 20:13

    * Romans 1:26-27

The price paid for homosexuality and other fornications are told in:

    * 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

    * Jude 6-7

    * Romans 1:18

In spite of the growing secular humanist trend to think "it's ok to be gay," it's not a righteous lifestyle. Most vocal

Christians are not homophobic, but are trying to share Christ's love for homosexuals and trying to keep them from

horrific judgment.

Sincerely,

Rev. Kirk M. Livingood                                                                                                                                IBCA Sr. Pastor & IBCA President
